Capture precious memories in immersive 3D with this compact HDR-TD20V Handycam® camcorder. With two Full HD sensors, you can shoot incredible 2D or 3D videos at 1920 x 1080 60p/24p resolution, plus 20.4MP still images. View your 3D videos directly on the expansive 3.5" Xtra Fine LCD™ display–no special glasses required. Easily switch between 2D and 3D recording with a dedicated switch on the body of the camera–plus, everything shot in 3D can also be viewed in 2D. Equipped with 64GB of embedded flash memory, you can record and store up to 25 hours of 2D HD video footage (HD LP mode), or up to 5 hours of HD 3D video.

Double Full HD 3D Consumer camcorder

The Sony® Handycam® HDR-TD20V utilizes two Full HD sensors to capture true 1920x1080 3D video for a more immersive 3D experience. Most 3D cameras achieve the 3D affect by splitting a 1920x1080 signal in to two 960x540 channels in order to squeeze them onto one sensor, thereby limiting resolution on the final output.

64GB1 embedded Flash Memory

The built-in 64GB1 embedded Flash memory can record and store up to 25 hours of 2D high definition video footage (HD LP mode), or up to 5 hours of High definition 3D video.

Event Browse conveniently groups your images and videos together for easier viewing. The date range that Event Browse groups your pictures and videos is easily adjusted to suit your needs. When used with the Highlight Playback feature, making and sharing a highlight reel from your event is easy and fun.

Direct Copy to external HDD without PC13

Store your memories in a whole new way with the ability to copy videos from your camcorder directly to an external hard disk drive13 (sold separately), all without a computer. Your camcorder can also access videos stored on the external hard drive for playback on your HDTV4 (HDMI cable required), allowing you to utilize the camcorder’s handy playback features.

Golf Shot6

Building on the slow-motion capture capabilities of Smooth Slow Record, Golf Shot captures a few seconds of motion as a sequence of up to 22 still images, which can be viewed/printed individually or as a composite “sequence shot” image, perfect for analyzing the nuances of a golf swing, tennis serve, and other fast action.

Easily switch between 2D/3D with dedicated switch

A dedicated switch allows for easy switching from recording 2D to 3D, whether you’re recording or playing back video. In 3D mode, only 3D content will be displayed for playback, however when in 2D mode, all content will be displayed and played back in 2D. This allows you to record all your video in 3D and choose later whether or not you want to playback in 2D or 3D.

Active Interface Shoe to attach intelligent accessories

The Active Interface Shoe lets you mount Intelligent Accessories, such as external lights and microphones, which can help extend the capabilities of your camcorder.

Intelligent Auto (180 different scene combinations possible)

Intelligent Auto mode goes a step beyond traditional auto modes by analyzing your shot and then automatically selecting the appropriate settings from ten distinct scene modes and wind noise reduction. There are 180 different combinations possible: Landscape, Backlight, Twilight, Spotlight, Low light, Macro, Portait, Baby, Walk, Tripod, Wind Noise Reduction. Thie camcorder utilizes an advanced sound processor and sophisticated noise reduction algorithms to reduce wind noise by up to 10db compared to other models. In addition to reducing low frequency noise, iAuto also suppresses mid- and upper-frequency noise, resulting in clearer, more enjoyable sound.

Built-in USB cable for easy file transfer/charge

The high-speed, built-in USB 2.0 cable allows for easy connection to your computer for charging or file transfer without having to remember separate cables. It also fits conveniently into the hand strap so it’s out of the way until you need it. Why spend hours editing your movies when you can let your camcorder do it for you? Highlight Playback identifies and compiles key scenes into a short, entertaining movie complete with music and transitions. You can even pinpoint the exact scene you want to include in the highlight reel. The easy 2D/3D selector switch allows you to show only 3D video when 3D is selected. For 2D playback of all video, set the switch to 2D and the camera will display 2D and 3D videos for playback on a standard HDTV.

Wind noise reduction for clear voice recording

Wind Reduction reduces noise and interference that is produced when wind passes over the microphone, giving you a clearer and more enjoyable sound experience.

Geotagging with built-in GPS receiver & NAVTEQ® maps

A built-in GPS receiver7 makes the HDR-TD20V an ideal choice for travelers. The receiver gives you the ability to view your current location on the LCD map display, as well as "tag" your shooting locations. Tagged videos and still images can be reviewed and played back using the Map Index function on the camcorder or once downloaded to your PC using the supplied PlayMemories Home software9. Additionally, the receiver automatically adjusts your camcorder's clock to the proper time zone.
