|
The Nikon D3x SLR Digital Camera provides incredibly high resolution images, with superb performance, and boasts an array of refinements that enhance performance and improve the user experience. Such features include, Super-high Resolution, the Nikon EXPEED image processor that powers the cameras high performance and it's Scene Recognition System, refined viewfinder performance with a Virtual Horizon Indicator; a Large LCD with a wide viewing angle and that can provide Live View Shooting, significantly increased battery life; and a wide range of firmware enhancements.
At the heart of the system is a 24.5 Megapixel FX-format (full frame) CMOS Sensor, producing high quality images that can be captured in JPEG, TIFF or RAW file formats at a rate of up to five frames per second at full resolution. The powerful advanced image-processing engine and optimized systems blend high levels of resolution with superb image quality, pure color rendition and the Picture Control System with four setting options (Standard, Neutral, Vivid, Monochrome), and class-leading speed. The camera is built from a rugged, and durable magnesium-alloy which is strong, yet lightweight is fully protected against dust, moisture and electromagnetic interference, while the ergonomically designed body makes camera operation simple. The D3x maximizes the potential of Nikon's Creative Lighting System, delivering high-precision flash performance including i-TTL flash control which support for Nikon's Advanced Wireless Lighting system. The EN-EL4a rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides enough power to support shooting of up to 4,400 images on a single charge, can be recharged at any time and features a handy 'fuel gauge' which displays remaining charge by percentage, the number of shots since last charge and overall battery status. And with Dual CF card slots users can easily manage files with overflow, backup and copy options.

Everything I could ever hope for. I bought this to help round out my pro camera gear and I'm now using it in place of my 2 1/4 30+ megapixel Camera. The lenses (17-35 2.8, 24-120 F/4 VR and the 80-200 f2.8) are Sharp, Sharp, Sharp and the SB creative lighting system is fantastic. (Posted on 5/19/11)

I love this camera! The quality of the picture is getting very very close to my old Rolleiflex 2.8 Planar. It weighs as much as my boat anchor but costs a lot more. Highly recommended. (Posted on 5/18/10)

I've been using Nikon for 5 years now, upgrading the body every year. The D3x is the best one yet! It is quite expensive, however, it has provided me with the ability to capture breath-taking, priceless images. It is a lot of camera, if you know what I mean-->heavy and big. But. When this kind of option is available you can't ignore because the features are endless and awesome to the max. (Posted on 3/12/10)

I must say first and foremost the exceptional picture quality is what i noticed first about this camera. It hasn't even compared to any other camera I have had in the past. I was very excited to pick this up, it is easily the most expensive camera I own but you honestly get what you pay for. I have had no issues what so ever with it easy to use, very comfortable, and just an amazing camera for a professional like myself. I highly recommend the D3x to anyone in the photography world! I call this the grand kids/sports camera, the easy of use and the quality of workmanship is unequaled in my opinion, the finished product is in the photo and that alone set this camera apart from all others. (Posted on 12/16/09)
